Celebrating Christmas with Our Trees at the Millenia Walk Creative Neighbourhood
Trees, as we know, are selfless providers of shade, sanctuary, beauty and wisdom. Age-old observers symbolizing stability and longevity, here to remind us to always find joy in the littlest things and to appreciate the beauty all around. But what captivated us most is how their giving nature extends beyond their lifetime.
In the spirit of Millenia Walk Creative Neighbourhood, we sparked a conversation with one of the oldest and last few surviving local sawmills at Sungei Kadut. Their passion and heart for breathing new life to our local trees resonated deeply with us and inspired us to share their Christmas story this festive season.
Embark on a trail around our neighbourhood as we unearth the time-tested practices that continue to honour the legacy of our beautiful local resource. May it bring you a newfound joy, love and appreciation for the enduring beauty of our local trees - Singapore’s very own Christmas trees.

Take a walk and discover where our local fallen trees go
Introducing the 6 key stages of the wood treatment process, that ends with a grand reveal at The Great Hall. An exclusive release made especially for the Millenia Walk Creative Neighbourhood.
The trail begins at the South Galleria Entrance, from 18 November onwards.
Seeding new perspectives of our local fallen trees
Our tree, in collaboration with Timber Actually, is made up of over 800 locally-made upcycled seating blocks or what we call ‘seeds’. We hope these ‘seeds’ find their way into the hearts and hands of those that encountered them, to be nurtured and cared for in the years to come.
Making its way to the Great Hall at 3 December.
